Music Ministry

Media Team

By serving in this ministry you have the opportunity to make the Sunday service run smoothly and effectively.  We have a soundboard that needs to be monitored and adjusted for the band and Pastor.  We have a computer and a terrific program called Mediashout that guides our service.  We also have lighting and set-up (cords and projector) that needs to take place.

Praise Team

By serving in this ministry you have the opportunity to provide music that will lead people to worship God.  If you can sing or play an instrument, then why not do it for the Lord.

Youth and Children’s Ministry

Nursery/Preschool

By serving in this ministry you give parents the opportunity to attend a bible study or service.  You are just as important as the Pastor when it comes to people trusting in Jesus as their Savior.  This is the hardest area to find volunteers yet the most crucial to reaching young families in our community.  Our goal is to have a safe place where families trust us to take care of their precious little ones.

Children

By serving in this ministry you have the privilege of investing in the lives of our children.  There is no greater time to build a biblical foundation than the elementary age.  If your heart is with children, we can always use another helper.

Youth

By serving in this ministry you also have the privilege of investing in the lives of young people.  Pre-teens and teens are in desperate need of mentors.  They make critical decisions at this age and they need love and support as they make them.  If your heart is with youth, we can get you plugged in right away.

Front Line Team

Leader

By serving as the leader of this ministry, you will have the opportunity to build relationships with many people in the church.  Each Sunday you will meet with team to go over their tasks.  This team’s purpose is to make positive first and lasting impressions on new guests while making our church feel like a home.  As a leader, you must invite people to be consistent servers so they can become fully-developing followers of Jesus.

 Greeter

By serving as a greeter you have the opportunity to make a great first impression on our guests.  Many times people make a decision about a church based on their first impressions.  Life of Purpose has always maintained a casual, come as you are to worship, environment.  We are known for our kindness and genuineness.  You have the opportunity to convey that from the moment people walk in the door.

Usher

By serving as an usher you have the opportunity to help people feel comfortable at Life of Purpose. You may need to help them find the right seat, make sure they have a program, get them a pen, etc. You will also help collect our offering. The Head Usher has the responsibility of praying or finding an elder to pray for the offering. He or she will also count the money with another usher.

Hospitality Host

By serving as a hospitality host you have the opportunity to make a great first impression on our guests.  We want everyone including our guests to feel at home on Sunday. Whatever beverage or snack we can offer that will “WOW” folks and bring them back is what we want to offer. A hospitality host even goes one step further than the greeter and seeks to make connections with our first time guests. They also are knowledgeable of Bible study rooms and encourage everyone to get to classes and service on time.

Information Host

By serving as an information host you have the opportunity to make a great first impression on our guests. You must be knowledgeable about all the different ministries at Life of Purpose and be able to connect people with the appropriate leader.  New attenders will have lots of questions and they need you to help answer them. You play a big part in helping people get plugged into ministry.
