God redeemed the Israelites from slavery to Egypt which foreshadowed His real plan to redeem the whole word from slavery to sin.
When Jesus was crucified 1500 years later in Jerusalem on Calvary Hill the real plan was completed.
Jesus is the Passover lamb.
